It was the exhibition design for introducing 17th Karmapa Lama himself, the direct descendant of Karma Kagyu School in Tibetan Buddhism (the 3rd of the total ranking) and his calligraphy and art work into Japan first time. The photography, calligraphy, conceptual art work and collaboration work were displayed at the beautiful garden and in Japanese rooms in Mitera Sennyuji temple as the main venue. The EIGHT EFFECT produced memorial posters, products and exhibition catalogue and held the opening party. At the another exhibition venue, the memorial movie of Tibetan Buddhism, the 17th Karmapa Lama and his succession for 900 years, directed in 2016 was screened.
It took one year from preparation to completion. I really re-realize that the world is vast, deep and plenty of mercy although severe. By the way, the red of the Tibetan Buddhism and the gold symbolized infinity were attractive in Japanese rooms with refined simplicity of Edo era.
